Filter real patient results by country, technique and graft count.
Every review on this page is a filmed patient interview, not a written testimonial. Each patient appears on camera, names their country, and states the technique and graft number used in their procedure at Medart Hair in Istanbul. Nothing here is a paid actor, a stock photo, or a text quote submitted through a form.
We publish reviews this way for one reason: video is harder to fake than text. Anyone can type a five-star sentence. A person sitting in front of a camera describing their own donor area, their own hairline design and their own recovery is a different kind of evidence — and it is the standard we think anyone comparing hair transplant clinics in Turkey should be asking for.
The patients on this page travelled to Istanbul from countries including Ireland, the United Kingdom, the United States, Canada, Australia, Iceland and Ukraine. Most had Sapphire FUE or DHI, with graft counts commonly between 2,500 and 4,500. You can filter the videos above by technique, country or graft range to find the case closest to your own situation.
Across the interviews, the same five themes come up again and again. If you are watching several videos, these are the things worth listening for — in our reviews and in any other clinic's.
Hairline design. Patients consistently mention being shown the drawn hairline before surgery and being able to change it. A hairline is a permanent, visible decision. It should be discussed with the surgeon, not handed to you as a finished drawing on the morning of the operation.
Pain and the surgery day. Most describe the anaesthesia injections as the least comfortable part, and the extraction and implantation hours as long but tolerable. Honest reviews mention discomfort. A review claiming zero pain at any stage is worth a second look.
Who was actually in the room. Patients name the surgeon and describe the medical team. This is the single most important detail in any hair transplant review, and the one most often missing from reviews of clinics that operate as high-volume "hair mills".
Aftercare once they flew home. Several talk about the washing routine, the shedding phase around month two to three, and staying in contact with the clinic for months afterwards. Aftercare is where clinics quietly differ most.
Timeline and expectations. Patients filmed at different stages describe different things. Early growth is not final density. Meaningful results appear from around month six, and the final outcome is normally judged at twelve to eighteen months.
Two techniques account for most of the procedures described in these videos. Neither is universally "better" — the right choice depends on your hair loss pattern, donor supply, hair characteristics and the area being treated. Your surgeon should be able to explain why one was recommended for you specifically.

How grafts are placed |
Often suited to |
What patients mention |
|---|---|---|---|
Channels are opened with sapphire-tipped blades, then grafts are placed into them |
Larger areas, higher graft numbers, full-top coverage |
Density across a wide area; shaved head at surgery |
|
Grafts are implanted directly with a pen-type implanter, without pre-opened channels |
Hairline refinement, smaller areas, adding into existing hair |
Precision at the front; less trimming of surrounding hair |
|
Both approaches combined in one session, by region |
Cases needing dense coverage plus a detailed hairline |
A tailored plan rather than one fixed method |
If you want to estimate your own graft requirement before speaking to anyone, our graft calculator gives a rough range based on your hair loss pattern. It is an estimate, not a diagnosis — the real number comes from an assessment of your donor area.
How to Judge Any Clinic's Reviews — Including Ours
Do not choose a hair transplant clinic on star ratings alone. Reviews should shorten your list, not make your decision. Use this six-point check on every clinic you are considering:
Check at least two independent platforms. Compare what a clinic shows on its own site against Google and Trustpilot. Patterns across platforms are much harder to manipulate than any single page.
Look for a named surgeon. If no review anywhere mentions who performed the operation, that is the most important thing missing.
Expect some imperfection. A wall of nothing but flawless five-star reviews is a warning sign, not proof of quality. Real clinics get occasional criticism.
Look at dates. Reviews spread over years are more credible than a sudden burst appearing in a single week.
Look for medical detail. Technique, approximate graft count, anaesthesia, swelling, shedding phase, donor area. Reviews that only praise the hotel and the airport transfer tell you nothing about the surgery.
Check the photos and video honestly. Multiple angles, multiple stages, and the donor area at the back — not a single flattering "after" shot in studio lighting.
Reviews published by a clinic on its own website are, by definition, selected by that clinic. That applies to this page too. To see feedback we do not control, check the independent platforms directly:
Google Business Profile — Medart Hair
Trustpilot — our public profile, including any critical reviews and our replies to them.
YouTube — full-length versions of these patient interviews, where comments are open.
Independent forums and communities, where patients post long-term updates at six and twelve months.
We do not pay for reviews, we do not script our patients, and we do not offer discounts in exchange for feedback. Every patient we treat is invited to leave an honest review, including those whose results took longer than they hoped.
The procedures described in these reviews were planned and performed under the supervision of Dr. Büşra Yakupoğlu at Medart Hair in Şişli, Istanbul. Patients meet the doctor, not only a sales coordinator, and the hairline design and incisions are the surgeon's work.
This matters more than any star rating. In Turkey's competitive medical tourism market, the practical difference between clinics is usually not the price or the marketing — it is whether a qualified surgeon is genuinely responsible for your operation, and whether that same team is still answering your messages six months later.
